Facebook is battling a lawsuit filed by a New York man who claims he owns 84 percent of the social-networking company. Paul D. You’re hard pressed to find any sector of the tech economy that is getting more financing than cloud computing. Today’s announcement by Hewlett-Packard and Microsoft is a good example. Alcoa Inc., the largest U.S. aluminum producer, posted quarterly earnings that trailed estimates as the company conducted a higher number of metals trades that boosted revenue while carrying no profit.
