As anyone who has used Buzz for any length of time and had to deal with follow requests much of them are traced back to the usual suspects: spammers, SEO ninja wannabes, women who what to show you parts of their gorgeous anatomy and miscellaneous other bot type accounts. Twitter is far more valuable than just a social network for a web site owner. Its a tremendous traffic generator! I’m sure we have all heard of or used Free For All (FFA) pages to try and generate traffic to websites quickly… but all we got for our trouble was a email box full of junk mail…. right? We’ve long speculated as to when Facebook might get its own version of Twitter’s retweet, and it appears that the time is now. This evening, the site rolled out a “via” feature that lets you repost another user’s shared items, with a “via” link attached for attribution. It appears the feature is live for everyone.
